| Penn State 40 Nebraska 7 September
14, 2002: this game ranks up there as one of the best
tailgates I've been to. The final score wasn't close, 40-7,
but the outcome was perfect. And the game was close until
the third quarter. The game was an 8PM start, so we had
plenty of time beforehand. I love 8PM starts. |

- Fear
the beret. No, Carl ain't listening to the Clash and
planning the Trotskyist revolution of Ecuador. He's watching
a football game. Note the proper throwing motion exhibited
by the athletic dude behind Carl.

- That
day's menu featured dead animals. Unfortunately, they were
corn-fed rather than grain-fed. Fortunately, the lessened
taste and potentially bad omen did not matter. These steaks
look almost done.

- Jim
and Chris discuss the relative benefits of Labatt versus
Yuengling. Meanwhile, I have gorged myself on a Permanti
Bros. sandwich (kielbasa, cap'n'cheese, knockwurst and
something else).
